A 55-year-old employee ofthe state-run Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) here was stabbed and injured in the office premises allegedly by his junior on suspicion he was responsible for him not getting promotion, police said.
M P Sharma, working in the accounts department, picked up a quarrel with his senior K V Rao and allegedly stabbed him with a butcher knife around 1 pm, they said.
Rao, who suffered a bleeding injury, had been admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.
Sharma, a junior assistant, was having suspicion that Rao, who was earlier the Section Officer in the department, had given him low ratings in performance review due to which he did not get promotion and salary increment, police said quoting preliminary investigation.
After attacking Rao, he fled the office, they said adding a case had been registered and further investigations were on.
