"The setting up of AIIMS in Jammu is imperative for the people of the entire Jammu region," Chairman of ACC, Abhinav Gupta said.
He said that AIIMS was initially announced for Jammu and must be established in Jammu as per the promise.
"Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh along with his cabinet colleagues promised that an order for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu will be issued by July 20. That is why we called off the Jammu Bandh and the chain hunger strike," he said, adding that the ACC sincerely believes that the BJP would deliver the promise.
Urging the Deputy Chief Minister to uphold the promise, the ACC chairman also asked the people of the Jammu region to remain alert so that the authorities take the issue seriously.
