Robbers had struck at the house of V Chndrasekhar Raju in Chaitanyanagar area near Maddilapalem here on December 22.
According to his complaint, four persons, one of them posing as a plain-clothes police officer, forcibly entered into his house, and looted Rs 51,000 in cash, a gold wrist watch, a diamond ring and 200 gms of gold ornaments after threatening him and his mother with a knife.
Police today recovered Rs 10,800 in cash and around 60 gms of gold ornaments apart from a knife with the arrest of Mohammed Ahmed (32), Vadamodula Sathish (32), Zubera Ahmed (25), Sella Srinu (25), Mohammed Roshan (34), Vadamodula Vijay Kumar (29) and Sheikh Allabakshu (27).

Ahmed, one of the accused, worked as a mechanic at a scrap shop run by Chandrasekhar Raju's nephew, the DCP said.
Ahmed needed money for treatment of his father who had cancer. He allegedly learnt from his employer that Raju was rich, so he decided to rob him.
On December 20, Ahmed and others broke into a locked house in Chaitanyanagar, thinking it was Raju's, and looted Rs 25,000 in cash. Later they struck at Raju's house on December 22.
The DCP also said that police suspected that Raju exaggerated his loss at the hands of robbers, and were probing further.
