Seven get life term in honour killing case

Special Judge Niraj Kumar Sangal held Ibrahim and his six sons- Farukh, Mussarat, Ayub, Sanawwar, Qayum and Shaukeen guilty of killing their sister and her boyfriend Sharafat and pronounced the quantum of punishment on them yesterday, prosecution sources said.

The convicts attacked Sharafat with some sharp-edged weapons, leading to his death on the spot in February, 2006 and later strangled the girl to death.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them , they added.
