Seven including newly-wed couple killed in accident

Seven members of a marriage party, including a newly-wed couple, were today killed and two others critically injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling dashed against a bumper in Odisha's Sundargarh district.
The victims were returning here from Berhampur in Ganjam district after the ceremony when the incident happened at Turiberna, 10 km from their house, Rourkela sub-divisional police officer Tushar Jena said.
Besides the couple, other victims included two sisters of the bride, the driver of the car, a photographer and another person.
The groom's elder brother and his sister-in-law were critically injured and are battling for their lives at the Ispat General Hospital here, police said.

The collision was so severe that the bodies had to be pulled out of the mangled car after cutting it, police said.
