Seven Maoist cadres held in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district

Seven Maoists, including two women, were today arrested from Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Sukma district here.
The Maoist cadres were apprehended from separate places of the densely forested Gadiras police station limits this evening, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Singh told PTI.
Based on specific inputs about the presence of the Maoists, a police team raided different villages in Gadiras region, located around 400 km away from the state capital and rounded up them, the ASP said.
All of them were involved in an incident of firing at a police camp and looting polling materials during the recent panchayat polls in the region, the ASP said, adding, that they are being interrogated.
