Seven mobile phones, chargers seized from jail

Seven mobile phones and as many chargers were today seized from different wards of prisoners of a jail in Bihar's Sitamarhi district, police said.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Hariprasath S said that he and the District Magistrate Rajeev Raushan carried out a surprise raid in the district jail premises.
He said that the jail superintendent has been directed to lodge an FIR against those inmates from whose wards these mobile phones and chargers were recovered.
Hariprasath said that the district administration had also sought a report from the jail officials as to how the banned items like mobile phones and chargers were allowed to be carried by the inmates.
