Sexual harassment: Students remanded in 3-day police custody

The three students of the Visva-Bharati University, who were arrested yesterday in connection with the sexual harassment of a first-year student, were sent to police remand for three days.
Phiroj Pal, Assistant Public Prosecutor of Bolpur Court, said that the investigation officer of the police had appealed for seven days' police custody, but the SCJM-in- Charge Sourabh Nandi sanctioned three days custody.
Yesterday the three students were suspended pending further investigation.
