The farm belonged to Rajesh Krishna Ghoda, son of Shiv Sena MLA late Krishna Ghoda.
Nobody was injured in the incident which occurred on Thursday when the mob of 200, including women, armed with iron rods and sticks damaged the farm, asid sub-inspector Vijay Godse of Dahanu police station.
The mob also allegedly hurled stones at the house of its owner and set if on fire, he said, adding the provocation behind the incident is not known yet.
A case has been registered against unknown persons but police are yet to make any arrest.
