Silver futures rise by Rs 92 on global cues
Press Trust of India New Delhi Silver prices edged higher by Rs 92 to Rs 40,895 per kg in futures trade today as traders raised their bets, driven by a firming global trends.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July month moved up by Rs 92, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 40,895 per kg in business turnover of 6,059 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in September contracts traded higher by Rs 68, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 41,508 per kg in 154 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to a firming trend in the precious metal overseas.
Globally, silver traded higher 0.77 per cent to USD 17.08 an ounce in London.
