The coal mining firm, a 51:49 JV between the Telangana government and the Centre, had produced 4.44 mt of coal in September 2015.
The coal production in the April-September period of the current fiscal was at 26.17 MT, against 27.20 MT in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, according to the data released by the PSU.
Singareni Collieries Company produced 60.38 MT of coal during 2015-16 and dispatched 58.68 MT of coal to various categories of consumers during FY'16.
SCCL operates 30 underground mines and 16 opencast mines to meet the linkage requirements its customers of various sectors like power, cement and sponge iron.
