Sinha, who is Director, personnel and administration, was given the additional charge of CMD of the PSU in January till March 31.
"The Company has been informed by the Ministry of Shipping that Capt B B Sinha- Director (P&A) of SCI, will hold additional charge of the post of the Chairman & Managing Director of SCI w.E.F. January 1, 2016 to May 31, 2016 or till regular incumbent is appointed or until further orders, whichever is the earliest," SCI said in a BSE filing.
Shipping Corporation is the largest domestic shipliner and has a fleet of 69 vessels of which 17 are bulk carriers, 16 crude oil tankers and 14 product tankers.
