Sitwala beats fellow Indian Balachandra to defend Asian title

Reigning Asian Billiards champion Dhruv successfully defended his title at the Asian Billiards Championship beating compatriot Bhaskar Balachandra 6-2 in the final here today.
Three world champions had participated in the star studded field and they were Pankaj Advani, Peter Gilchrist and C Praprut.
Bhaskar had stunned Advani in the quarterfinals and Gilchrist in the semifinals. Praprut, on the other hand, lost to Gilchrist in the quarterfinals.
In the final, Sitwala was leading 3-2 at interval before he won three frames in a row.
Sitwala had also smashed a career best break of 654 at Bangalore in an invitation tournament held thee months ago. He had surprised 15-time world champion Advani to win the Asian title last year.
