French Railway SNCF is understood to have suggested several measures including low cost fare for the proposed Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail corridor in its study report.
Besides the buisness development report submitted to railways recently, has advocated proper training of manpower involved in the bullet train project, according to a senior Railway Ministry official.
The 543-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor is one of the six proposed high speed rail lines identified by railways to run train at 300 km per hour speed.
SNCF's study has focused mainly on fixing the speed at which trains on this route would be run, the financing model to be adopted, pricing of tickets and undertaking the road map of development which includes training people who will work on the project.
"We are examining the report submitted by SNCF," he said.
With the 100 per cent FDI allowed in railways, the national transporter is open to offer high speed train corridors to global players.
Considered one of the oldest operators of high-speed trains, SNCF currently has several bullet trains, which run at an average speed of more than 300 km per hour.
