"Mohammad Umar, the youngest son of Farooq Ahmad -- the oldest litigant in Babri mosque case who died on Wednesday at the age of 100 years -- will inherit his father's legal hierarchy in the case," Uttar Pradesh's Additional Advocate General and convenor of Babri Masjid Action Committee Zafaryab Jilani said.
Confirming the move, Umar told PTI, "I will fight the Babri Masjid case from now onwards."
Umar's grandfather, Mohammad Zahur, was one of the original complainant regarding the placing of the idols of Lord Rama in Babri Masjid in December 1949.
