Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday congratulated sprinter Hima Das on being selected for the 2018 Arjuna Award.
"Ace sprinter Hima Das made the country proud with the recent feats in international tracks.
"Her selection for the prestigious Arjuna Awards is indeed a moment of pride and jubilation for the state", he said in a statement.
Sonowal also wished her more success and hoped that she would bring many more laurels for the country in the future.
