"A new name has been given to Mahamaya Arthik Madad Yojna of BSP and launched as Samajwadi Pension Yojna. This is not a new scheme as is being claimed," Mayawati said in a release.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav yesterday launched the Samajwadi Pension Yojna scheme under which nearly 40 lakh poor families in the state will be given Rs 500 each per month.
"The present SP government does not have a vision of its own. There is nothing wrong in adopting BSP's vision, but for it, it is most essential that political vendetta is left behind and it be adopted with good intentions for ensuring that its benefits reached the people," Mayawati said.
She alleged that holding of 'tehsil diwas' to redress problems of people at the local level, Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway road schemes have been just presented with a different name.
"Dr Ambedkar Green Garden was developed by the BSP government, but presenting yet another example of political vendetta, the SP government changed its name to Janeshwar Misra Park and wrongfully tried to take credit for it. The right answer for this act too will be given when the right time comes," she said.
Claiming that the present government has been reduced to only making announcements and tall claims, she alleged that its "anti-dalit, anti-minority" behaviour has come before the people.
This government is giving shelter to criminals and members of a particular caste, she alleged.
