"To further boost the IT exports and facilitation in the state of Bihar, STPI is creating new incubation facility of 8000 sq ft with an estimated investment of Rs 10 crore for catering the needs of the start-up companies and young entrepreneurs," a government release said.
The new facility would be operational within two years. It stimulate creation of direct and indirect employment opportunities for the IT educated masses of this region.
STPI was established in 1991 by Ministry of Communications and IT with distinct focus for promotion of IT/ITeS exports from the country.
STPI Patna was established in year 2008. This facility at Patna would also be used for one of the Digital India initiatives i.E. Indigenous production of IT hardware and software for exports and also to support software product startups.
