Srinivasan had earlier defended Meiyappan, calling him merely a "cricket enthusiast".
In a major embarrassment to Srinivasan, the three-member committee headed by former Punjab and Haryana Chief Justice Mukul Mudgal held that the role of Meiyappan in Chennai Super Kings as the team official and the allegations of betting and passing of information against him stand proved.
