When stumps were drawn, Srivastava was unbeaten on 134 off 232 balls and veteran Mohammad Kaif was giving him company on 23.

Dagar got out after scoring 126 off 197 balls at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium.

While Srivastava hit 18 fours and a six during his 331-minute stay at the crease, Dagar struck 22 fours while staying in middle for 282 minutes.

In pursuit of Maharashtra's massive total, Uttar Pradesh made a solid start with their openers putting on 248 runs for the first wicket in 67.3 overs.

Both Srivastava and Dagar looked at ease and played some delightful shots during their association, with the former continuing in similar fashion after his opening partner's dismissal.

Earlier, Kedar Jadhav knocked the stuffing out of Uttar Pradesh bowlers en route to a monumental 312-ball 327. Incidentally, Jadhav was the only host bowler to have tasted success as he got the wicket of Dagar.

They were 738 for five overnight and lost Rohit Motwani (147) early.

Piyush Chawla was the most successful bowler for Uttar Pradesh as he picked up up three wickets, though he conceded 233 runs in his 51 overs.

Brief scores:

Maharashtra: 764 for six declared in 186 overs (Kedar Jadhav 327, Rohit Motwani 147 not out; Piyush Chawla 3/233)

Uttar Pradesh: 287 for one in 79 overs (Tanmay Srivastava 134 not out, Mukul Dagar 126).
