Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state can develop only with the progress of every person.
Only by providing road, electricity and water does not mean all round development, Das said adding, his aim was to end poverty in Jharkhand and for that people were being connected with employment.
In villages, employment opportunities were being created to make the people self-sustenance, an official release said quoting him.
Dirty politics in the name of the poor should end, he said whole speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of legal services clinic at Jaratoli-Baram village in Ranchi district.
The village has been adopted by Rajya Shaba member Parimal Nathwani under Adarsh Gram Yozana, the release said.
Saying that Acts were simplified to develop necessary infrastructural development, the Chief Minister said some people were not refraining from indulging in politics.
He said they did not have anything to do with the state's development other than politics and did not do anything during their rule, but when this government was doing work they were raising questions.
Das said constructive initiatives have been taken to make people self-reliant and cited that 30,000 schools in the state don't have bench-desk. The carpenters of villages were given order to supply bench-desk to the nearby schools and in return they would get wages from the school management.
Rs 400 crore would be allotted to the villages for this task, he said.
Similarly, women belonging to BPL families were being connected with poultry farming and eggs would be procured for Mid Day Meals in the nearby schools, Das said.
Women were also being connected with JHARCRAFT and would be trained in making blankets, door screens, towels and pillow covers, and the government would purchase them, besides encouraging private sale, the CM said.
Appealing to the women to send their children to school, Das said a literate village could become a developed village.
The Chief Minister said development has begun; acceleration of works was on, keep patience and change would be visible in the next two/three years.
Stating that the government was working to bring smile on the face of people, he said rooting out poverty was a collective effort.
On the legal service centre, Das said it would provide legal aid to people and would become a role model in the country and the government and judiciary's work was to give justice to the poor.
Besides Nathwani, JHALSA's working president Justice D N Patel, MLA Ramkumar Pahan, State Commission for Protection of Child Rights chairperson Arti Kujur and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
