Student among two killed as buses collide

Two persons, including a class-X student, were killed and four others injured today when a school bus collided with a private bus on Chandigarh- Kharar-Ludhiana highway near here, police said.
The incident took place at Mamoopur village, 6 km from Kharar in Mohali, when the private vehicle collided with the school bus, they said.
While the school bus driver and a Class-X student were killed on the spot, four injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital from where three critically hurt were referred to PGI Chandigarh.
Police have registered a case against the private bus driver, who fled the spot.
