When the bail plea came before the court, Advocate General K P Dandapani told that Joppen had full knowledge of the transactions of solar scam accused Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan.
Despite being fully aware regarding the cases registered against them, Joppen maintained relationship with the accused and they "share a common intention".
Investigation is going and if bail is granted, it will hamper probe, he stated.
Joppan was arrested on June 28 based on a petition of businessman Sreedharan Nair, alleging that he had been duped of a huge sum by Saritha Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan promising a plant installation deal with Joppan acting as middleman.
Meanwhile, the bail application of television actress, Shalu Menon, another accused in the case, was adjourned to Friday.
