The decision was take at the newly reconstituted meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE), asking the sub-committee under CABE to submit its report within a year.
Talking to reporters after the day long meeting, HRD Minister Smriti Irani said the sub-committee will study issues and impediments to mainstream out-of-school children, and measures to bring them into the fold of the educational system.
The meeting also decided to set up another sub-committee to deliberate on measures to improve skilling and technical education in the school and higher education systems.
Minister of State for HRD will be its chairman while Education ministers of Nagaland, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, chairmen of UGC and AICTE and additional secretary of higher education will also be its members, she said.
A sub-committee was also formed to suggest measures and suggestions to improve the infrastructure, environment maintenance and learning outcomes of Government schools.
These two committees have also been asked to submit their report within a year.
