The Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav joined the debate when a BJP Legislative party leader Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the Centre has given Rs 6,000 crores to the state for payment of cane dues to farmers.
"I want to know from Khannaji, to whom the money has been given. We have not received it yet," Akhilesh said.
When Khanna said that announcement for the same has been made by the Centre, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohd Azam Khan said that BJP will soon be called "Bharatiya Ghoshna Party".
He also sought to know from the BJP member about the amount released by the Centre for farmers affected by untimely rains and hailstorm.
Amidst disruptions, when Khanna stated that Centre has given Rs 477 crores, the CM countered him by saying that the state had already disbursed Rs 3,500 crores to the farmers.
