A 37-year-old history sheeter from Delhi was arrested today in Goa in connection with an extortion case pending against him in Rajasthan, police said.
Ravinder Kumar Singh was arrested from Candolim village in North Goa beach belt by Calangute police on a tip off, said police inspector Jivba Dalvi.
Singh, a residence of Hauz Khas in Delhi, has been absconding since February 7 after he was booked for extortion by Vigyan Nagar police in Rajasthan.
Dalvi said the accused had arrived in Goa last week.
Singh was traced to Candolim on the basis of a photograph circulated by Rajasthan police.
"A team of Rajasthan police is arriving here tonight to take the custody of the accused," he said.
