BJP MP Subramanian Swamy said today he will move court and seek damages if the Telangana government does not cancel an order externing Swami Paripoornananda from Hyderabad city.

The order, Swami said in a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, violates the head of Sri Peetham of Kakinada's constitutional rights, including freedom of speech.

Paripoornananda was externed on July 10 from the city for six months for allegedly making provocative speeches targeting other communities and their leaders.

The Act invoked against him is about "externment of goondas", which is "highly insulting, disrespectful and defamatory" for a 'sanyasi' who has a "good reputation", the BJP leader said.

"Due to this externment order Swamiji's fundamental rights to freedom of speech and expression, right to freedom of movement and right to assemble peacefully as guaranteed by the Constitution have been violated," he said.

"The order appears to be arbitrary and it seems that the authorities are flouting the highest law of the land. Therefore, it is my humble advice to you that you get these orders cancelled else I will be compelled to take an action in court and seek damages," he added.
