Singer Taylor Swift has donated USD 5000 to the family of the girl, who was killed in a car accident.
The songstress donated the amount to a GoFundMe account set up for Jacksonville State University student Katie Beth Carter, who was tragically killed in a car accident during Labor Day weekend, reported People magazine.
"No words could express how sorry I am for your loss. I know that you will keep Katie's memory alive. Please know how much I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for your family. All my love, Taylor," Swift, 26, wrote on the account page.
The GoFundMe goal was initially set at USD 30,000 to cover medical expenses and the cost of arrangements.
Katie Beth's sister, Kimi, thanked Swift on Instagram Thursday. "I cannot believe this at all... Thank you so much, Taylor...Me and my sister are smiling so hard...@taylorswift," she captioned a screenshot of the "Bad Blood" hitmaker's donation.
