"The Board of Directors of the company has ... Consented for the appointment of Syed Waheed Zafar Abdi as Managing Director & CEO of the company w.E.F January 19, 2014," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Abdi, 57, has 35 years of management experience in the shipbuilding industry, it said.
He has worked in senior capacities with various shipbuilding and shipping industry in India and abroad.
The company in the same filing has also informed the BSE about acceptance of resignation of Major Arun Pathak from the Board of the Directors of the company with effect from December 31, 2013.
