Tamil poet Bharathidasan remembered

: Chief Minister N Rangasamy today paid homage at the statue of the Tamil poet Bharathidasan here on his 51st death anniversary.
Welfare and Tourism Minister P Rajavelu, Electricity Minister T Thiagarajan, Speaker V Sabapathy and legislators were among those who garlanded the statue of the poet at Bharathi Park in the vicinity of the Assembly.
Delegates of various Tamil organisations also paid homage at the statue.
The CM lso paid homage at the bust of the poet in the Bharathidasan Memorial and Research centre housed in the premises where the poet had lived.
