Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka suspended Hardeep Singh, Chemistry lecturer, posted at Senior Secondary School Morinda (Ropar), who had been absent from his duties for a long period without any intimation, an official spokesman said here.
The Minister took a serious note about the teachers and employees in the Education Department who have been absent from their duties for last many years.
Issuing a strict warning to all the employees of the education department, Maluka said that no teachers and employees would be permitted to remain absent without any prior permission from concerned authorities and a strict action would be taken against all the erring employees.
