Police said the youth gained entry into the house under some pretext and suddenly tried to misbehave with the woman on Sunday night when her husband was away.
As the woman raised an alarm, her neighbours rushed to her rescue, caught hold of the teenager and handed him over to the police.
He was later produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, a 52 year-old man has been arrested here for allegedly sending 'obscene' SMSes to his daughter-in-law from an unknown mobile number.
