Teenager stabs 4 over dispute over water-sharing

Four persons, including a woman and her son, were allegedly stabbed over a dispute related to water-sharing in New Usmanpur Area of North East Delhi on Saturday, police said today.
All the injured are out of danger and have been discharged from the hospital. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and produced before the Metropolitan judge, said police. The accused had allegedly threatened to kill all the four, the victims said in their complaint to the police.
The injured have been identified as Shanti, Arvind, Shravan and saket. Arvind is Shanti's son, while Shravan is Saket's father. All the four are relatives and living in rented accommodations on the third floor of the same building in New Usmanpur area.
The accused also lived with his family on the second floor of the same building.
On Saturday, at around 7.15pm when Shanti and Arvind were filling a bucket with water from an overhead tank, the accused came and kicked the bucket and started abusing them. He prevented them from taking water from the tank and when they opposed, he started a scuffle.
Hearing the commotion, Shravan and Saket also came out and tried to stop him but the minor attacked Shravan with a knife. When the rest three tried to block his path, he stabbed them and threatened to kill them also, said police.
