Temperatures fall as parts of UP receive rains

Light to moderate rains and thundershowers occurred at a few places in Uttar Pradesh while isolated places in eastern parts of the state received heavy rains and thundershowers in the last 24 hours.
Hatta received 7 cm rain followed by Kaisarganj 5 cm, Sitapur 4 cm, Harriya 3 cm. Mahrajganj, Pharenda, Khalilabad, Nababganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Nighasan, Sidhauli, Nagina, Bisauli, Amroha and Rarabganj all received 3 cm rain, the MeT department said.
Fatehpur, Sultanpur, Mohmadi, Dhaurohra, Biswan, Misrikh, Laharpur, Najibabad, Saharanpur, Badaun, Rampur and Powayan received 2 cm rain each.
Day temperatures fell appreciably in Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Mordabad, Faizabad and Meerut divisions and changed a little in the remaining divisions of the state.
It was largely below normal in Faizabad, Kanpur and Lucknow divisions and normal in the remaining divisions of the state. Banda recorded maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.
