Temple revenue touches Rs 2.30 crore in cash offering

Revenue from the Dhandayuthpaniswamy Temple hundis touched a record of Rs.2.30 crore in cash offering in the last fortnight, a temple official today said.
The hundis were opened for counting yesterday and offerings, included 370 foreign currencies, in various denominations, of various countries.Besides 664 gram of gold and 16.6 kg of silver had been offered.
Devotees had donated gold in the form of coins, chain and Mangalsutra, T.Rajamanickam, Joint Commissioner and Executive officer in charge of the temple, said in a release here.
