Tennis: Local boys Ganguly, Gohad upset seeds in qualifiers

Local boys Anargha Ganguly and Arjun Gohad used home city advantage to topple seeds and advance in the boys qualifiers at the 2nd HCL Asian B1 Junior Tennis Championship here Saturday.

Unseeded Gohad ousted third seed Denim Yadav 6-3, 6-2 while Ganguly outplayed no 5 seed Kushan Shah 6-2, 6-2 to enter the second round of the qualifiers.

In close matches, Boopathy Sakthivel struggled before overcoming Aditya Balsekar 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 while Yash Chaurasia prevailed over Tushar Madan 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 to move into the second round
