Three arrested for killing woman

Three youths were arrested in connection with the gunning down of a middle-aged woman over a land feud on Road No 12, Azadnagar here last night, the police today said.
Ameena Begum (55) was shot dead allegedly by her nephew, Sheikh Wasim alias Chote (24) and his two friends - Salman Hashmi and Rehan (both 23-yrs-old and all residents of Azadnagar), over a land dispute, said Senior Superintendent of Police, Anoop T Mathew.
Wasim and four of his family members were living in the same premises with the victim, Mathew said.
Ameena Begum's daughter Sitara Parveen told the police she had received a call that her mother was not well and when she and her husband reached Ameena's place, they came to know that Wasim along with Salman and Rehan had shot dead her mother over a domestic feud.

The Police have arrested the accused persons and recovered a country-made pistol with magazine, an empty 7.65 mm bore cartridge from the spot and two blood-stained fibre chairs, Mathew added.
