Three of the accused have been arrested while one is absconding.
Police have registered a case for rape and also under the SC-ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The accused allegedly offered lift in a Bolero to the girls who were headed for the weekly bazar at Harisal. After the girls got in, they were instead driven to Kolkas forest where the accused raped them and fled.
The girls reached Dharni in another vehicle and lodged a complaint. Acting swiftly, Dharni police arrested Wasim Arif (24), Shahrookh Sheikh Kalim (22) and Mohd Fayyaz Mohd Niyaz (20), all residents of Baspani, last night. Driver of the Bolero Mohsin Khan (24), resident of Dharanmahu, was still at large.
