Prashanta Bhuyan, junior engineer of Nagaon division, and two daily wage workers -- Lakshmi Hira and Bhadra Singh Konwar -- died on the spot after the truck mowed them down as they were returning to a nearby camp on foot this evening, police said.
Seven injured, including three critically injured, were admitted to Tejpur Kanaklata Civil Hospital, they said.
The driver, who was suspected to be drunk, lost control and the vehicle skidded off the road, they said.
