Police have detained three people for interrogation here on Saturday in connection with the reported intrusion of six members of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba into Tamil Nadu.
The three were taken into custody on suspicion that they were in touch with them and are being interrogated at an undisclosed place, police sources said.
Strict vigilance continued in various parts of Coimbatore district for the second day on Saturday following intelligence inputs that six LeT members had infiltrated the state by sea from Sri Lanka and moved to different cities.
Coimbatore Police Commissioner Sumit Sharan had said on Friday that city was under a high alert following information that the terrorists were heading there.
