The CMD of the ponzi scheme company Ratan Chowdhury was brought from Nagpur on transit remand five days and produced before the Kalyani court following complaints of defalcation of Rs 700 crore.
Sujit Krishnapada Acharjee, his son-in-law, was also arrested from Nagpur, brought here on transit remand and produced before the court.
The third director produced before the court was Sashi Kanta Dubey who was arrested by GRP from Santragachi railway station platform during a clash between two groups of agents of the chitfund company on Monday night.
The court also seized their passports, PAN cards, driving licences and company seals.
They were charged under IPC 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust).
Police had seized Rs 53 lakhs in cash from Ratan Chowdhury in Nagpur.
