Three women killed while digging pit in Rajasthan

A mound of soil caved in killing three women who were digging a pit in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police said.

The women were digging the pit in Badod village when loose soil collapsed on them, Behror SHO Virendra Kumar said.

The deceased were identified as Sita Devi Banjara (40), Juma Devi (19) and Bisa Devi (30), he said, adding that the bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.

A case was registered in this connection under CrPC Section 174 (unnatural death), the SHO said.
