Indian Meteorological Department forecast said the rains would be fairly widespread over the state in the next 24 hours.
It also warned of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall at some isolated places in the state till tomorrow.
People in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Kishanganj, Supaul, Chapra and other parts of the state, cherished the pleasant weather which came as a huge relief from the oppressive heat.
