India's ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri called on Pokhrel yesterday and discussed about military between Nepal and India.
Pokhrel said that Nepal-India ties were "time tested" and thanked India for providing various kinds of assistance to the Nepal Army for enhancing its capabilities, among others.
Among other things, the upcoming 13th edition of Nepal-India military drills named Surya-Kiran, also figured in the meeting. India is hosting the joint military drill in Pithoragarh this time.
This is a regular military exercise being organised annually between the two armies, said the defence ministry sources. Last year, the 12th edition of Surya Kiran Military exercise was held in Kathmandu.
