Tim Robbins to receive Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary Festival

Actor Tim Robbins, the Oscar winning star of "Mystic River" and popular film "Shawshank Redemption", will receive the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Contribution to World Cinema at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF).

The honour will be presented to 59-year-old Robbins at the 53rd edition of the festival, which is held annually in July in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, the organisers said in a press release.

Robbins, who won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his role in "Mystic River" in 2003, will also present his two films "Bob Roberts" and "Cradle Will Rock" at the festival.

In addition, Robbins will also appear in a special concert performance by Tim Robbins and the Rogues Gallery Band.

Apart from this, director Terry Gilliam will also attend the festival to present his new film "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote", which had its premiere at Cannes.

Oscar winner Anna Paquin and actor/director Stephen Moyer will present "The Parting Glass" along with screenwriter and co-star Denis O'Hare and producer Cerise Hallam Larkin.
