In global markets, copper futures were mixed in early trade, with London contracts rebounding but Shanghai metal under pressure because of a policy shift by Beijing that could lift Chinese output.
Tin rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,485 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,475.
However, copper scrap heavy fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 452 from 457.
Copper cables scrap and copper wire bar dipped by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 460 and Rs 488 from Rs 464 and Rs 492.
Copper armiture moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 439 from Rs 441.
Copper utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc edged-down by a Re per kg to Rs 420, Rs 333 and Rs 180, respectively.
