Tin slips on reduced demand

Tin prices slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid reduced demand from coating and alloy industries.
Elsewhere, select copper and zinc prices eased further due to lower offtake from industrial users.
Meanwhile, brass utensils scrap recovered on renewed demand from consumer industries.
Globally, London copper inched higher in early trade, but was below four-week highs hit in the previous session as the initial positive impact of a cut in China's bank reserve requirements was eclipsed by renewed worries over its beleaguered property sector.
Tin fell by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 1,205 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,225.

Copper utensil scrap moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 405 from Rs 407.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 437, Rs 428 and Rs 181.
However, brass utensils scrap climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 318 as against Rs 315 yesterday.
