Tin surge on heavy industrial demand

Tin prices rebounded at the non- ferrous metal market here today on persistent stockist buying amid heavy demand from alloy industries.
Brass sheet cutting slid owing subdued demand from consumer industries.
The industrial metals was trading higher at the LME after dropping nearly one per cent in the previous session as the market viewed the release of Chinese manufacturing data later today.
Tin spurted by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 1,538 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,530 and copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 20 per kg to Rs 510 as against Rs 508 previously.
Copper armature, aluminium utensils scrap also inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 494 and Rs 128.
However, brass sheet cutting dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 360 from Wednesday's level of Rs 365.
Copper utensils scrap and aluminium ingots softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 468 and Rs 148, respectively.
