Tin, zinc and copper weakened at the non-ferrous metals market today following stockists' selling and poor offtake from industrial users.
Meanwhile, brass and nickel gained owing to good demand from consuming industries.
Tin prices eased by Rs 30 per kg to Rs 1,480 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,510 and copper armature edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 473 as against Rs 475.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper billets, copper sheet cuttings and zinc softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 484, Rs 479, Rs 512, Rs 471 and Rs 234, respectively.
However, nickel regained by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,025 as compared to the previous price of Rs 1,020 and lead edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 170 from Rs 168.
Brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings inched up per kg each to Rs 348 and Rs 365, respectively.
