Top-seed Pandurangaiah enters last 16 of all-India snooker

Top-seed Pandurangaiah of Railways outplayed Lokesh 4-0 to advance to the last 16 of the R Murugesh & Chintamani Memorial all-India Open snooker tournament at Erode today.
Pandurangaiah will next meet Coimbatore cueist Girish, who beat R Loganathan (TNBSA) 4-1.
In other matches, Rafath Habib (SRSA) blanked Dheeraj 4-0 and Kamal Chawla of Madhya Pradesh advanced when an ill S Magesh conceded.
Up-and-coming Chennai youngster S Shri Krishna, the current national under-18 billiards and snooker champion, beat I V Rajeev of Andhra 4-2. He will next take on Faizal Khan, an easy 4-0 winner over Senthil Loganathan.
Ashutosh Padhy defeated Aslam 4-0 in another last 32 match.
The tournament is organised by Erode District Billiards and Snooker Association.
